Carter McReynolds

I couldn't wait to take photos of this little guy! This is little Carter McReynolds who is the new baby of one of my best friends. I wasn't sure about when the best time to take photos of babies was. I see all of the adorable new born shots where the babies are just tiny little things that are curled up and sleeping in their parents' hands. And then I also saw lots of shots at six months old when the babies can hold themselves up a bit more and are interactive. In these photos Carter is almost four months. This made for a great photoshoot! He was awake the whole time with wide eyes and was just entranced by my camera. He didn't cry once the entire time even though we had three different outfits to put him in. I can't wait to steal him away from his mommy for a many more photoshoots as he grows older.

Location: I also must mention something about the location. This was a test run in my "studio" which I have created in the basement of my new house. It went pretty well! I think I need to go buy one more light and then I think it will work very nicely for portrait shots.
